Designing for the Bold and Woke

Zayn & Myza is a cruelty-free cosmetics and personal care brand built around a clear point of view: beauty can be expressive, conscious and willing to take a stand. The challenge was to translate that attitude into packaging that could connect with a younger audience without relying on conventional beauty codes. Studio ABD saw an opportunity to make the packaging itself carry the brand’s personality, creating an identity that felt bold, contemporary and relevant to woke millennials.

A Packaging Language with Character

The packaging uses a vibrant signature colour, bold branding and expressive typography to establish a recognisable presence across the range. Each element was developed to communicate the brand’s attitude while keeping the overall system coherent. A distinctive approach to sub-branding uses handwritten, brush-stroked lettering, giving individual products their own character while remaining connected to the parent identity. The result is a packaging system where colour, typography and graphic expression work together to tell the brand story at every touchpoint.

Packaging That Takes a Stand

The packaging turns Zayn & Myza’s beliefs into a visible part of the product experience. Rather than treating packaging as a surface for information, the design makes it an active brand asset that communicates personality, values and attitude before the product is even used. The system gives the brand a memorable presence while allowing its cruelty-free positioning and contemporary outlook to come through naturally. It demonstrates how packaging can help a young brand take a clear stand without becoming overly literal or loud.
