Rooted in Values, Designed for Celebration
Vatasthala is a contemporary tabletop sculpture designed as a personal festive gift for Dr. Anish Shah. Inspired by the banyan tree, the piece draws from the essence of the Mahindra Rise philosophy, symbolising rooted values, interconnected growth, and enduring purpose. Just as the banyan expands through a network of connected roots and branches, the sculpture reflects an organisation built on strong foundations while continuously evolving across generations and industries.

A Sculptural Celebration of Unity and Legacy
The form of Vatasthala features rising trunks that merge into a spiralling canopy, representing the many diverse businesses of the Mahindra Group functioning together within a unified ecosystem. Every curve and intersection has been carefully designed to express movement, continuity, and collective strength. Crafted using recycled vehicle metal and elevated through refined metallic finishes, the object transforms industrial material into a symbol of resilience, sustainability, and thoughtful progress.

Where Philosophy Meets Form
More than a commemorative gift, Vatasthala was conceived as an artifact of meaning. The sculpture balances materiality with storytelling, creating an object that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted in Indian cultural symbolism. Through its layered structure and crafted presence, the piece becomes a reflection of leadership, legacy, and shared growth, transforming festive gifting into an experience of emotion, identity, and enduring value.
